Welcome to Reception!

Welcome to Class R!

Our teacher is Mrs Bennett, assisted by Mrs Wing and Mrs Keen.

The classroom and outdoor area are set up to allow us to have the best opportunities to learn as we play, and to make friends while we follow our own interests.

We are looking forward to all of our fun learning this term, and getting to know our Year 6 buddies too.

Please see our newsletter below, for lots of information about what we are learning this term.

You are welcome to come and talk to us at the beginning or end of the school day if you have any questions.

Mrs Bennett, Mrs Wing and Mrs Keen

Class Assembly

Class R performed their phonics songs and ‘Our God is a great big God’ at our first class assembly on 11th October. Then we shared a slideshow with lots of photos of our fantastic learning in our first month of school. As the photos showed, we are learning to play so nicely together, trying a wide range of activities, and we can concentrate brilliantly on what we are doing. This was followed by our Open Classroom, for parents, wider family and our preschool/nursery teachers to see all the fun we get up to in the classroom, including our daily mile run. Well done Class R!

(Please do refer to this very useful guidance document, published by Wiltshire Council for parents and carers, which recognises the challenges of having children at home whilst you may also be working from home. It provides a useful daily structure for learning, as well as highlighting the importance of looking after your mental health as much as your physical health.)
