Preshute Poetry Slam
We rounded the week off by celebrating both Red Nose Day and World Poetry Day, with the latter including a Poetry Slam.
Children chose and performed individual poems to their classmates (with one child creating his own poem about Preshute! - see below) with class winners performing in front of the whole school.
Each class also learnt and performed a poem in Collective Worship and I have to say, some of them were very funny!
Very well done to all of the students for taking the time to learn their poems, and thank you to the class teachers for making the performances come alive. Special thanks goes to Miss Palin for organising the day.
As you walk by, by Stanley H
As you walk by
The Bumblebees buzz around you
As you walk by
The Dragonflies flutter in the sky
As you walk by
The Foxes trot beside you
As you walk by
The Red Kites soar high in the sky
As you walk by
The Otters swim alongside
As you walk by
The Roe Deer gallop past
As you walk by
Preshute stays with you.
